The New York Giants demonstrated their ongoing support for the New York Gay Football League during Pride Month.

The LGBTQIA+ community in and around New York City is the league’s primary target audience, however the NYGFL is a 7-on-7 flag football league open to everybody. The league, which began in 2004 with just six teams and about 70 players, has grown to become one of the biggest gay football leagues in the nation, with over 20 teams and several hundred active members each year.

To honor the induction of the newest class of the NYGFL Hall of Fame, the Giants recently invited members of the league to the Quest Diagnostics Training Center.

We essentially came here today to pay tribute to the New York Gay Flag Football League, the history, and the present members of the Hall of Fame,” stated NYGFL Commissioner Monty Clinton. “Members got a chance to come out and meet some of the rookies of the New York Giants, obviously do some photo shoots, as well as kind of play a little football, hand out some awards and a luncheon.”
