Jaylen Brown has impressed the Celtics coach since the All-Star break.
Boston — The Celtics have amassed a nine-game winning streak and are playing some of their finest basketball as the regular season approaches its conclusion. In their victory over the 76ers, they had to approach it differently, depending more on free throws and transitioning to rim shots rather than 3-pointers.
With a 31-point performance on Tuesday, Jaylen Brown led the way in the victory. However, it was his efficiency that stood out—he shot a flawless 11 for 14 from the field and 8 for 10 from the free throw line. The reason for Brown’s recent play plaudits from C’s coach Joe Mazzulla is this.
Mazzulla remarked, “He’s just always in attack mode.” “I adore Jaylen’s work. I admire the effort he’s making, the composure with which he plays offensively, and the variety of baskets he makes regardless of how he handles the ball. He’s really reading the game and making the most of it, whether it’s in transition or when he’s playing with poise in the post. Brown has averaging 27.3 points per game while shooting 62% from the field in the three games played since the break. He’s been a crucial component of the Celtics’ puzzle, helping them to a league-best 46-12 record this season, so he’s generally been in control.
Brown’s counting stats have decreased this season, primarily as a result of the C’s excellent lineup. Even though it was done as a sacrifice, Jayson Tatum has noticed a slight decline in his stats. Their dominance extended to other areas of the game, as they outscored the visitors 64-42 in the paint, outrebounded the Sixers 56-28, and made 37 trips to the free throw line. Because the Celtics won in an unconventional manner, Brown and the team learned as well.
