UNEXPECTED NEWS : 3Boston celtics players have sucessfully join arizona wildcat due to…

A player can only be waived on Friday in order to maintain their eligibility for the playoffs. It’s important to note that they are not required to sign a new contract by that date.

Another player who C’s fans are familiar with is now available as more people secure buyouts, including a former Celtic who is attracting interest from several teams and a guy who would be of interest to Boston.

Marcus Morris can now join a playoff team since the San Antonio Spurs have bought him out of his contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The 12-year veteran began this season with the Los Angeles Clippers and was later acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers as part of their trade for James Harden. With his hometown team, the six-foot-eight forward made 37 appearances in games.

The 34-year-old’s brief tenure with the Sixers was marked by an average of 6.7 points and 2.9 rebounds. Additionally, he made 40% of his 2.4 three-pointers.

In a three-team trade that brought Buddy Hield to the 76ers and Doug McDermott to the Indiana Pacers at the trade deadline, Philadelphia moved him to San Antonio.

Morris played two seasons with the Celtics, averaging 13.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while he was not a member of the Spurs roster. In addition, he made 37.2% of his 4.8 attempts from beyond the arc.

Although it seems unlikely that the former lottery pick will reunite, Boston has a roster place available. The players on the C’s are urging Blake Griffin to come back to cover that spot.
