A BAD DAY : To jimmy Garoppolo, the QB miss out performance DUE TO…

Jimmy Garoppolo, the quarterback for the Raiders, ought to dress up as Daniel Powter for Halloween and scream out “Bad Day” while strolling around Las Vegas’ streets after his awful performance in Monday night’s 26-14 loss to the Detroit Lions.

According to the official transcript, Garoppolo remarked, “I mean, you have good days and bad days.” It wasn’t a good day. Nothing but the truth. I mean, I just need to play better because that’s how things are. Personally, I need to improve my performance. There are numerous small details, but many issues would be resolved by doing that.”

It’s true that Garoppolo had a rough day—the camera did not lie.

In the defeat, the quarterback completed 10 of 21 passes for 126 yards and one interception. six sacks. A number of throws by Garoppolo went wide, including many deep passes to Davante Adams that would have tightened a game that was much more lopsided than the scoreboard showed.

Although he wasn’t the only problem with the Raiders offense, Garoppolo was the primary offender.

With 12 first downs, Vegas managed a pitiful 157 total yards gained. In contrast, the Lions managed 29 first downs and 486 total yards. Late in the second quarter, the Raiders managed just one long drive. The remaining 10 possessions were of a mishmash of missed opportunities, mishandled play, and frustrated execution. Except for the winning ground game and a 10-play, 75-yard touchdown drive, the Raiders did not have a possession that resulted in more than 26 net yards.

The chief cause for concern is Garoppolo’s incapacity to regularly use top wide receiver Adams, who on Monday night caught only one pass for 11 yards on seven targets. Although Adams made mistakes of his own, such as a poor third-down pass, the quarterback outwitted him at crucial moments.

Adams was at a loss for words after the loss.

Honestly, in the Raiders locker room, Adams said to reporters, “I don’t know what to say at this moment.” “I really don’t. I have no idea what to say that wouldn’t be misconstrued and blown out of proportion by the media, so I’m going to claim that I really don’t know.”

Adams has averaged 35.5 receiving yards per game with zero touchdowns in the previous four games.

He had three scores and an average of 99.3 YPG during the preceding four weeks.

Adams lost patience after yet another attempt at a late drive and slapped his helmet against the sidelines.

“It’s not hard to maintain the confidence in our offense,” Adams stated. “You know you should, but it’s difficult to control your aggravation when you can’t seem to put it together. Simply keep working to improve. Continue attempting to improve.”

The Raiders offense is a sad machine; to begin the season, they had scored fewer than 20 offensive points in eight straight games—the longest such stretch since 2009, when St. Louis and Washington did so. The NFL’s longest active streak is Vegas’ 15 games in a row with at least one turnover.

Marcus Peters, a defensive back for the Raiders, scored all seven of the team’s scores on 45 plays on Monday night, including one 75-yard pick-six.

Players in Vegas are at a lost because of the problems. After the game, someone asked Josh Jacobs what the Raiders could do to improve their offensive.

“I don’t know, it ain’t my job,” Jacobs stated, as reported by Bridget Condon of NFL Network.

The quarterback is first in line. So far, the signing of Garoppolo has been a complete failure. He has occasionally missed games due to injuries, and when he has played, he has struggled to find his pocket, his trigger has been sluggish, and he has committed egregious errors every time out. Josh McDaniels, the head coach, would not say if he would think about switching quarterbacks.

Jimmy G declared that he is not justifying his play with an injury.

“I will never offer such a justification. We’re in the season now, it is what it is,” he remarked. “You just have to go out there and play; people don’t care if you have an excuse or not. I need to improve my game. And, dude, it’s just all these little things. It is, after all, frustrating that we have to try to connect the dots between the good and terrible days. We need to play better when we get out here. That locker room is filled with so much love, man. We gave a bad performance tonight, and that stinks.”
