Callum Hudson-Odoi is close to joining Nottingham Forest on a permanent transfer from Chelsea, 90min understands.

Hudson-Odoi has been training with the Chelsea academy all summer as he waited for clarity on his future, with the
Blues prepared to cash in after he returned from an underwhelming loan spell with Bayer Leverkusen.
Fulham were leading the race for Hudson-Odoi’s signature but the two London rivals could not come to an
agreement over a transfer fee, opening the door for Forest to swoop in and strike a deal.
The two clubs have already done business this summer, with midfielder Andrey Santos moving to the City Ground on
loan, and Hudson-Odoi is set to join the Brazilian on a permanent basis.
For 22-year-old Hudson-Odoi, the move to Forest represents the chance to reunite with manager Steve Cooper, who
gave the winger his England Under-17 debut back in 2016 and drew some excellent performances out of him at the
European Championship the following year.

Nottingham Forest are close to the signing of Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares. The Reds have been on the case of a left-back for some time and they will initially take the player on a season-long loan.
Dharmesh Sheth has been discussing this deal on Sky Sports News. Their daily transfer footage is now being ramped
up and he’s made an exciting claim about the move for Tavares to go to Forest.
The Reds have had to wait patiently on this one. It was originally claimed that Forest might have missed out on
Tavares, with Aston Villa preparing a deal for the player.
That never materialised though and Forest have now stepped in. Tavares is edging closer to the City Ground and
Sheth’s claim suggests that things are now close to being completed.
The Sky Sports roving reporter has claimed that the medical is completed. He’s also told Sky Sports News that the
deal includes an option, rather than an obligation, to buy him in 12 months.
Tavares hasn’t really got going at Arsenal. The 23-year-old has made just 28 appearances and was famously subbed
after just 20 minutes during an FA Cup clash against Forest in 2022.
Still, the player has got something about him. He spent the 2022/23 campaign on loan with Marseille where he
scored six times as the Ligue 1 outfit finished third.
Sheth delivers exciting update on Tavares to Forest
The Reds will be hoping to get this one over the line before the deadline. The Reds have courted a number of left-
backs all summer and Tavares fits how Steve Cooper wants to play pretty well.
Forest have added Ola Aina to the ranks this season. He was always likely to be viewed as a utility man, however,
given that he can play in a number of positions.
Tavares looks to have some quality. He will have a point to prove to Arsenal and in fairness to him, he’s showing a lot
of courage by joining another Premier League club.
The option to buy him is intriguing. It had been anticipated that it might be an obligation but now the Reds will get
to same the player before the commit to buying him next summer.
