Leeds United open talks to sign another attacker before Friday deadline, agent contacted this morning – Report

Tiago Pinto meets with intermediary to discuss Bodø/Glimt's Ola Solbakken

Leeds’ end to the transfer window is likely to be more hectic than most of the Championship as they attempt to bring

in a host of new faces in the coming 36 hours.

The attack looks adequately covered after putting four past Ipswich Town, but there might still be scope for more.

Ola Solbakken to Leeds?

The Daily Mail are reporting that Leeds are keen on signing AS Roma winger Ola Solbakken, and have opened talks

to bring him in before the deadline.

Solbakken, 24, is rated at £4million by Jose Mourinho’s club, and his agent has been in contact with the club over a

move on Thursday morning.

Why do Leeds want to sign the winger?

The club are said to be making contingencies in the event that either of Luis Sinisterra or Willy Gnonto leave Elland

Ola Solbakken signs with Roma on a free transfer

Road before the window shuts tomorrow night, and Solbakken could feature in those plans.

He earned a lucrative move to Roma off the back of some sensational performances for former club Bodo/Glimt, who

caught the eye in the 21/22 Europa Conference League, where he netted a brace against the Italian side along with six

goals and two assists in the competition.

Solbakken could be on the move after just six months in the Italian capital with his pathway to starts likely narrowed

due to the arrival of Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.

Solbakken would be a very exciting option to bring into the side on the right wing, but you have to wonder why we’re

looking at signing him at this stage.

We are well equipped in attack, so to bring someone else in either means Farke wants even more strength in depth

after Sam Greenwood’s exit, or we are prepping for someone to leave.

Most fans would like us to have someone else come in before the deadline, because of Luis Sinisterra’s and Patrick

Bamford’s tendency to spend more time on the treatment table than on the pitch.

He looks to have just what we need from a right-winger though, able to cut inside and carry the ball great distances

under pressure, beat his man, and link up very well with an attacking right-back.
