‘A 23-year-old forward with great potentials’ and……

After receiving his visa from the Home Office, Semir Telalovic, the club’s new striker, is eager to begin working with Jon Dahl Tomasson.

The 23-year-old German, who signed for Rovers on the final day of the transfer window from Borussia Mönchengladbach, will train with his new teammates for the first time tomorrow when the team returns to Brockhall.

Tomasson is hopeful that his new forward can help the squad score more goals, but he says that he will need time to get used to life in the Championship after only having played football in his native country, where he scored 65 goals in 132 games.

Our recruitment staff saw him as a young guy with potential, Tomasson said to RoversTV.

“I’m hoping he can get going quickly.

“Like I do with the players we already have, I’m excited to work with the incoming players. Working with those players is fun for me.

During the international break, I’m looking forward to working with those players because they want to listen, improve every day, and give it their all.

“Those young players we brought in, while it’s good to work with kids and attempt to help them grow, winning games is also vital.

We needed assistance with more bodies, as I’ve said many times, so it’s excellent that we have a few numbers in.

“I’m hoping Semir brings goals. Semir has been a project for the recruitment division for some time.

He is a player who develops late. Although he has scored a few goals, we must remember that he is not a player who is accustomed to playing in the Championship.

But he is a player who aspires to improve, and maybe we can assist him in doing so.

“Let’s wait and see, because if you’ve never played Championship level before, it’s different.

Time will tell, but we’ll work hard with him and my players will work even harder to improve. It’s a challenging league, one of the toughest in the world.
