After suffering a knee injury against Coventry City last weekend, QPR defender Morgan Fox is likely to be out for the team’s trip to Leeds United on Wednesday.

In the defeat on Saturday, the defender was taken off after only five minutes, and QPR manager Gareth Ainsworth acknowledges that the player is unlikely to play against Leeds.

He reportedly walked off in a nasty way after jarring his knee. Morgan will be the subject of our consideration before we decide what to do about him, but it also makes room for other candidates, which is perfect timing.

If Morgan is not available, “We have some strong possibilities, and we’ll go forward from there. He played a significant role in the game, therefore I was devastated to see him leave. Morgan has to be taken care of, and we need to return him as soon as possible.

Jimmy Dunne will rejoin the team for the match at Elland Road after missing every game of the season thus far due to a shoulder injury sustained in preseason.

“Jimmy is in the squad, which is a big bonus,” said Ainsworth. Being near him will benefit the group because of his strong personality.

Jack Colback, a former midfielder for Sunderland and Newcastle United, is expected to rejoin the QPR team after serving his three-game suspension for receiving a red card last month against the Black Cats.

“He’s Jack Colback, he’s played in the Premier League, and he was a big signing in the summer,” Ainsworth said of the midfielder’s comeback. I believe Jack has shown QPR supporters, as well as the coaching staff and his teammates, that he has a lot to offer.

“Having him back in the squad is a big boost. He has a lot of experience and has played at the highest level for quite some time.”
