Tomasson was thrilled with the performance, although he thought it didn’t stand out all that much from prior losses. He was proud of his team’s tenacity in following the game plan, which finally resulted in deserved rewards.
Player evaluations for Blackburn Rovers at QPR
Tomasson said, “We are ecstatic with the outcome and the performance. “Winning the Championship on the road is not simple.
“The lads performed a fantastic job, in my opinion. If you look at the previous weeks, we definitely didn’t play at our peak, but the connections were there. We obtained our goals.
“We made four excellent goals. It’s great to see the opposing supporters and hear their roaring support for the side. The run of successes we’ve had may sometimes make you lose faith, but the players kept to the game plan and performed what needed to be done.
The previous few weeks have seen us play some fantastic football, but we haven’t seen any results. Sammie now has the same number of goals as last season, and it was nice to see Tyrhys score for the first time. Leopold Wahlstedt again had a clean sheet.
“There were a lot of good things, and it was great to win and have a few days off.”
Tomasson acknowledged that a favorable outcome had been ‘coming’ during the previous few weeks. Fans have expressed anxiety over the lack of results, but his perspective has not changed.
“I haven’t been getting confused in that way, we are sticking to the plan, and I see the progress with this young team, the development of the young players,” he claimed. We could have won each of the four games we lost.
“We played fantastic football, and if you keep doing the right things, that’s why I’m so thrilled because we followed the game plan. We performed well and now we have the result, so perhaps there was a little noise that wasn’t significant.
“Normally, you win the game when you score two goals. It was incredibly crucial. In the end, I believed we could have scored more goals.
