Michael Beale faces ‘huge fan backlash’ as he lines up next job after Rangers sack

After leaving Rangers, Michael Beale wants to rejoin QPR, but Alan Nixon claims the London team may respond with “huge fan backlash.”

In a post on Patreon on October 15, the Sun journalist stated that although Beale desired to return to England, his decision to move from London to Glasgow infuriated QPR supporters, which would hinder his chances of getting back.

After the Englishman was fired, Rangers hired Philippe Clement to fill the position, but Beale is still a viable option for QPR.

After putting the impoverished Hoops in the running for promotion, Beale left QPR with a solid reputation; but, the opportunity to play at Ibrox was too much to refuse, and he left midseason.

Beale turned down a transfer to Premier League Wolves, which led him to say on the QPR website in October 2022, “Loyalty and integrity are very important to me.” One month later, his transfer to Rangers naturally caused a lot of angst among the Loftus Road supporters.

Though Beale might be wishing he hadn’t moved to Ibrox, he’s still making the best of a difficult circumstance. In order to “reflect” and “learn” about the game before making his next move, Beale has decided to go to Brazil, America, and Japan, as reported by The Sun on October 14.

But in West London, he might not be welcomed back. Nevertheless, since Gareth Ainsworth was appointed, the Hoops have had difficulties. For the past six months, it has felt quite likely that they would be relegated to the English third tier, but under Beale, they were very close to returning to the first flight.

Ainsworth would have to be fired first, but if Beale addressed the crowd and offered an apology, maybe he might be hesitantly welcomed back. Although he is anxious to start again and make his latest appointment a success, Rangers supporters will wish he had taken the time to study more about football before joining the club.
