Through their official website, Premier League newcomers Burnley announced the signing of Luca Koleosho from Espanyol for an undisclosed fee on Tuesday.
The Clarets confirmed that their latest signing is eligible to play international football for four countries, namely United States, where he was born, Nigeria through his father, and the Italian and Canadian national teams through his mother.
With the exception of Nigeria, Koleosho has received international call-ups at youth or senior level for all the countries he’s eligible to represent.

Koleosho was a member of Gli Azzurrini squad to the 2023 European U19 Championship, where he featured in all the matches contested by the newly crowned European champions including the showpiece against Portugal.
The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with Burnley that will keep him at Turf Moor until the end of the 2026-2027 season.
Signed as one for the future, Koleosho was on the books of Espanyal for seven years, rising through the youth teams ranks to play in five matches in La Liga while making an appearance in the Copa del Rey.
The Italian-Nigerian-American-Canadian teenager is Burnley’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window.
