There was a lot of talk about how the Dallas Cowboys matched up against the Philadelphia Eagles and how they could pull off a big upset with a potential victory.

Mike McCarthy had his team ready to perform, and the game was closer than Eagles fans would’ve liked, but eventually, Nick Sirianni’s team managed to close out the game and get a hard-earned victory.

The Eagles will now head to their bye week after a massive divisional win and with an 8-1 record.

More than that, star DT Fletcher Cox admitted to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network that this win made the bye week a lot sweeter because he’ll now get to go back home to a bunch of Cowboys fans and talk a little trash.

Needless to say, we’re talking about one of the fiercest — if not the fiercest — rivalries in the National Football League.

Even so, Fletcher also gave their rivals some praise, stating that they’re a very good football team on both sides of the ball.

Notably, this was the Cowboys’ best performance against a top contender this season.

They’ve had a history of falling short when it matters the most, and while there usually aren’t a lot of positive things to say about a team when they lose, they should feel good about themselves and the effort they put forth.

Additionally, Dak Prescott looked much better than in previous weeks, completing 29 of 44 passes for 374 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions, and Cowboys fans will hope he can build on that performance in the future.
