Rangers star responds on social media after being caught in bizarre incident on international duty

Ridvan Yilmaz 'considered by European giants' as Rangers defender attracts transfer interest | The Scottish Sun

Rangers star Ridvan Yilmaz has reacted on social media after being involved in a bizarre incident while on international duty.
The Turkish international was handed a yellow card while on the bench during his country’s 3-2 win over Germany on Saturday (18 November), but fans asked on social media who was to blame.
It was unclear who was wearing the hat, snood, gloves and large jacket, which caused widespread confusion.
After the incident caused a huge stir, the 22-year-old posted a photo of himself smiling with his hands up emoji on Sunday (November 19), confirming that he was the one who received the warning.
He admitted something on Instagram.

It was a rather strange incident for Yilmaz to be caught up in as the game was already into injury time when he received his yellow card.

It’s no surprise that many people were left confused by who had been booked as it’s pretty impossible to work out who the player in question is.

Although Yilmaz probably didn’t do his chances of coming off the bench any favours by picking up the card, he will have been delighted to see Turkey pick up an excellent victory over Germany.

The left-back seemed in pretty good spirits when he responded to the incident on social media despite sitting on the bench all game on what looked to be a pretty cold night in Berlin.

He will be hoping to get a run out when his country faces Wales in their final European Championship qualifier on Tuesday (21 November) after they have already secured their place at the tournament.
