Will C.J. Stroud Play Against the Browns This Weekend?
Another week begins and the Browns aren’t facing any new, major injury concerns leading up to Week 16. It’s all eyes on Joel
Bitonio though, who left Sunday’s win over the Bears with a back injury on the third series of the game and never returned.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski called him day-to-day on Monday and while he didn’t practice on Wednesday that’s not out of the
ordinary for the veteran.
Stefanski also provided an update on DE Obo Okoronkwo who is dealing with a pectoral injury that could be season ending. For
now though, the Browns aren’t ready to declare one way or another what his status will be moving forward. On a promising note,
center Ethan Pocic, returned to practice on a limited basis, while Denzel Ward was a full participant.
Perhaps most notable news of the week, however, comes from the Browns opponent as the Texans remain in a holding pattern in
regards to the availability of rookie phenom C.J. Stroud. He sat out week 15 with a concussion and remains in the league’s protocols
to begin the week of practice. Whether or not Stroud plays will have massive ramifications on the matchup between the two AFC foes.
As Cleveland started the week with a walk through practice, here the injury news for both teams.
