Rangers Review reported that the 19-year-old suffered a car accident in the first half of December but will be in contention to play.

The injury expert has also highlighted the importance of his mental health after the accident and there will be conversations behind the scenes to ensure he’s in a good place.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

“Testing would depend on the severity of the accident and any symptoms.

“The first concerns in a typical accident are whiplash and potential head injury or a concussion.

“If it’s a more serious accident, then they’re looking at more limb injuries or lacerations which are cuts.

“As far as the mental recovery, no objective way to do that but likely more based on how he’s going about training and conversations with coaches, players, etc.”

The Scotland under-21s international has played just five minutes in the SPFL this season over two games for Rangers.

He came off the bench on 20 December to feature for four minutes in the 2-0 victory over St Johnstone.

It remains to be seen whether Clement plans on using him in the second half of the season or if a loan move is on the cards.

Rangers defender Leon King could miss the start of next season after suffering an ankle injury in training.

The club have announced the 19-year-old will be sidelined for a “significant period of time” after sustaining a blow during a pre-season camp in Germany.

Rangers begin their cinch Premiership campaign away at Kilmarnock on August 5.

A club statement read: “Rangers FC can confirm defender Leon King suffered a contact injury to his ankle at the club’s pre-season training camp in Germany on Monday which will rule him out for a significant period of time.

“Leon is being looked after by the club’s medical staff and a further update will follow in due course. Everyone at the club wishes Leon a speedy recovery.”
