Although the journey to Blackpool on Saturday will be challenging, Ben Elliott is certain that the team has what it takes to leave

Bloomfield Road with three points after back-to-back victories and his first goal on Tuesday.

“It gave me a lot of confidence – it was a really, really nice feeling to get off the mark. Going into the Blackpool game it has helped me

build even more confidence and now I’m really looking forward to it.

“The nature of Tuesday’s win was a big morale boost. One of the biggest wins in the club’s history which was a nice thing.

“It was nice for everyone to just come together, play as a team. I think throughout the whole squad it will just build morale and build confidence.

“I think we know it’s time to start building, building more wins. You don’t want to look back too much, just move on to the next game

every time. And just keep going, keep pushing.”

The Royals have yet to record a league victory away from home this year. Elliott understands how critical it is to improve the team’s

“If we can do everything more how we do it at home and just make sure the preparations are right, then we’re ready to make our away

games our strong point.

“We know that they’re gonna be a tough team, and we know it is gonna be a tough game.

“I think that if we just focus on ourselves and play how we know how we can play, we should be able to get the job done.

“We know we need to improve our form on the road and I think we definitely have the ability to do that. It’s important to start picking

up the points now.

“Everyone’s on the same page, and everyone’s looking to do that.

“As long as we just do what we did in the cup games I don’t think that there needs to be a change just because it’s the league. I think if

we can carry that form over and just give the same intensity and the same style of playing, we should be fine in the league.

“Everyone’s becoming more familiar with the style and everyone’s enjoying it. Everyone knows their job more and more and it’s

starting to show on the pitch with the results as well.

performance on the road and believes they are capable of doing it.

“We must make sure that we are well-prepared and ready.

It’s been a positive experience for me, and I’m really loving it. When playing away from home, it helps to have the support of the crowd

and just take something away from each game.

I believe I’m improving as a player and learning new things.
