Head coach Antonio Pierce is extremely proud of the fact that the Las Vegas Raiders are the last team to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs, the reigning Super Bowl champions.
The 45-year-old Pierce boasted that the Chiefs haven’t dropped a game since they beat them on Christmas Day during a recent interview on his teammate Maxx Crosby’s podcast. While some clubs like winning Super Bowls, others are content to defeat the champion in a pointless regular season match.
Well, it wasn’t entirely pointless. In fact, following the home defeat at Arrowhead Stadium, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mmesaho shed a few tears on the sidelines.
After collecting his third Super Bowl ring in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium, the Raiders’ home field, Mahomes, 28, was able to bring that experience full circle.
