Meeting James Cregg, the 2024 coaching staff for the Raiders
Experience as a Coach:
He became a graduate assistant for two years after suiting up for the Rams and joined CSU’s coaching staff. After that, he worked as the defensive line coach at Colgate from 2000 to 2003 and Idaho from 2004 to 2005. Afterwards, he switched to the offensive line and spent two seasons as the assistant offensive line coach in Oakland under Lane Kiffin’s coaching.
Cregg’s LSU teammates Lloyd Cushenberry, center, and guards Damien Lewis and Saahdiq Charles are all upcoming free agents this offseason. With the contracts of Andre James, Greg Van Roten, and Jermaine Eluemunor ready to expire, the Raiders could use some assistance in the trenches. Thus, perhaps one of his former players can be persuaded to move to Las Vegas by the team’s new offensive line coach.
