TUCSON, Arizona — This Saturday, Nov. 4 at Arizona Stadium, the Arizona Wildcats (5-3, 3-2), coming off of back-to-back ranked victories, will welcome the UCLA Bruins (6-2, 3-2) for Homecoming.

Kickoff is scheduled for

After spending three seasons without a ranked win, the Wildcats now have three wins over teams that are listed in the AP Top 25 under head coach Jedd Fisch.

Since swatting seven passes against UCLA in the fourth week of the 2019 season, Arizona’s seven pass breakups against Oregon State are the most by a Wildcat defense.

K Tyler Loop broke his career record with a 51-yard field goal late in the first quarter, beating his previous best of 48 yards at Washington in 2022.

WR Jacob Cowing, who is currently the second-longest active streak among all Division I players, extended his run to 52 games with a reception by hauling in six grabs for 36 yards versus OSU.

ABOUT LAST WEEK: Arizona defeated No. 11 Oregon State 27-24 on Saturday night, its second straight victory over a ranked opponent, thanks to two touchdown throws from Noah Fifita to Michael Wiley in the fourth quarter. After defeating Washington State (44-6), who was ranked 19 at the time, the Wildcats (5-3, 3-2 Pac-12) enjoyed a week off. This was their biggest margin of victory over a team in the rankings. Arizona, led by Fifita, kept up its momentum against Oregon State (6-2, 3-2 Pac-12). With three touchdowns and 275 yards passing on 25 of 32 plays, Fifita connected Wiley for 40 and 3 yards in the last quarter. Along with restricting the Beavers’ run attack, the Wildcats also kept Oregon State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei in check for the majority of the game. Since then, Fifita has played well.

ARIZONA HOSTS NO. 20 UCLA ON HOMECOMING: No. 20 UCLA (6-2, 3-2 Pac-12), a highly-regarded opponent, will visit Tucson for a crucial conference matchup at Arizona Stadium (5-3, 3-2 Pac-12). At Arizona Stadium on Homecoming, Arizona (5-3, 3-2 Pac-12) takes on No. 20 UCLA (6-2, 3-2 Pac-12). FS1 will air the Wildcats vs. Bruins game starting at 7:30 p.m. The broadcasters are Mark Helfrich, an analyst, and Jeff Levering, PxP. The Wildcats are behind the Bruins in the all-time series, 18-27-2. In the season’s last conference visit at The Rose Bowl, Arizona prevailed 34-28 W in the most previous meeting. The victory from the previous season was the first over an AP Top 25 win and ended an eight-game road losing run against ranked teams.

FITITA GETS AWARDED FOR A THIRD PAC-12 FRESHMAN OTW: After Arizona Football’s 27-24 victory over No. 11 Oregon State on Saturday, quarterback Noah Fifita of Arizona Football was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for the third time. On Saturday at Arizona Stadium, Fifita completed 25 of 32 throws for 275 yards and three touchdowns as the Wildcats defeated the No. 11 Beavers 27-24. This season, Fifita has won Pac-12 Freshman of the Week three times. Since the award’s creation in 2019, Fifita has garnered this distinction three times, tying for the second-most times in its history. This is also the most for the Wildcats. Since Khalil Tate won four Pac-12 Freshman of the Week awards at Arizona, Fifita has initiated a streak that hasn’t been matched.

RING OF HONOR: At a ceremony held during halftime of the Arizona football game against No. 20 UCLA, legendary quarterback Bruce Hill of the Arizona Wildcats will be inducted into the Ring of Honor. Hill, who played for the Wildcats from 1973 to 1975, won three awards while playing for the team: Western Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year in 1973, Back of the Year in 1975, and First Team All-WAC selection in his last year. His numerous achievements earned him a 1981 admission into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame. With 5,090 passing yards, 45 touchdowns, and 6,054 yards of total offense when his collegiate career concluded in 1975, he held the records for Arizona for the longest time. These marks stood for eight years and are currently included among
