Blackburn Rovers suffer injury blow ahead of Leicester test
Due to a tight calf, Harry Leonard will miss Blackburn Rovers’ next three Championship games, although he should be able to play again following the break for international play.
The offensive player, who started Rovers’ past two league games, is currently out after suffering an injury in practice. Tyrhys Dolan will work out on Saturday after being sick in the middle of the week.
Niall Ennis is still unavailable but will resume training the following week. On Tuesday, Ryan Hedges will have surgery, with a minimum recovery time of three months.
He stated that Ryan Hedges, Sam Gallagher, and Sam Barnes were all hurt. “Ryan received a second opinion, and he will undergo surgery the following week.
Blackburn Rovers were cautioned about possible FFP issues. READ MORE
He will be out for the next three to four months, which is a significant amount of time. Although Niall Ennis’ injury is still bothering him, things are improving for him, and he will be back on the grass next week. Ideally, we can keep him there.
It hasn’t been ideal because he keeps having problems. Hopefully, he can contribute shortly. Harry Leonard won’t be in shape; he’ll return following the international break.
When you take into account his age and previous accomplishments, he has performed quite well. He did a superb job. Tyrhys Dolan, who has been unwell, will workout tomorrow.
We’ll check to see whether he’s prepared to leave. Dilan is good; it has been a heavy weight for him.
In an effort to speed up his return from injury, Arnor Sigurdsson has started the previous two games and played 103 minutes each against Cardiff and Ipswich. It will be determined if the forward can start or if playing in a third game in eight days is too much for him.
On Sigurdsson, he remarked, “I need to observe how he is training. “I gave him 45 minutes, and it was clear he was fatigued.
“We need to get him up to speed, but he’s not used to the intensity. He has already lost a portion of the season, which is unfortunate for both us and them.
“He physically survived those games, but it’s still the third game in a short period of time. Even if he hasn’t played for 90 minutes, after three months of absence, we’ll see. The extra day is a significant benefit.
Due to Leonard’s absence, Semir Telalovic may make his maiden Championship start. As an alternative, Sam Szmodics might partner with Andrew Moran in midfield, with Dilan Markanday and Sigurdsson on either side of him.
