Winger Pelle Larsson of Arizona is named Pac-12 Player of the Week.
The Pac-12 announced on Monday that Pelle Larsson, a swingman for the Arizona Wildcats, had won Player of the Week after leading his team to a sweeping of the mountain schools.
The Wildcats have won four Pac-12 Player of the Week awards this season, with four different players receiving the distinction.
On November 13, point guard Kylan Boswell took home the trophy; on December 26, center Oumar Ballo did the same; and on January 8, shooting guard Caleb Love did.
Larsson dominated the Utah Utes this past Thursday, scoring 27 points and dishing out eight assists in a triple-overtime victory. In the last overtime, he finished with six points and two assists as Arizona pulled away for a 105-99 victory.
He followed that up on Saturday, scoring eighteen points and grabbing three rebounds in a rout of the Colorado Buffaloes 99-79.
Over the course of two games, that added up to an average of 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.5 steals.
Larsson scored with efficiency, making 17 of his 28 field goals at a 60.7% shooting percentage.
This season, the 6-foot-6 senior is averaging 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists while shooting 42.6% from three-point range and 54.6% overall.
Larsson’s professional stock is improving due to his effortless style of play. In the most recent mock draft by ESPN expert Jonathan Givony, Larsson is selected at selection No. 35, two spots ahead of Boswell.
