Ben Danford, Connor Dewar, and Fraser Minten don’t seem to be well enough to report to training camp. Ben Danford has a concussion, while Connor Dewar has a shoulder issue, according to NHL insider Chris Johnston’s report. Fraser Minten was supposed to be the centre of attention throughout camp, but he recently suffered a high ankle sprain after getting hurt in a rookie game.

Fraser Minten was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs with the 38th pick in the second round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. He played junior hockey with the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL before to being draughted. Minten was enjoying a very successful season with the WHL in 2022–2023 and he was demonstrating his leadership abilities. With 57 games played, he concluded the season with 67 points.
