Juventus expresses strong interest in Strasbourg's Habib Diarra

Wolverhampton Wanderers sought to add a midfielder before the transfer window closed, and Habib Diarra of RC Strasbourg was one of their top targets.

After being acquired by BlueCo, the Ligue 1 team no longer need financial assistance, thus they rejected a €25 million offer.

According to journalist Marco Conterio, who talked to Raidue and was quoted by Juve News, they did agree to sell Jean-Ricner Bellegarde to Wolves for about €15 million, but their stance for Diarra sent a clear message to other teams.

This is due to reports that Juventus, who is also interested in the young midfielder, was on the verge of signing him.

They did agree to sell Jean-Ricner Bellegarde to Wolves for roughly €15 million, according to writer Marco Conterio, who spoke with Raidue and was cited by Juve News, but their position for Diarra sends a strong message to other teams.

This is as a result of rumors that Juventus, who is also considering signing the young midfielder, was close to doing so.

Whether Wolves decide to give it another try down the line remains to be seen, but it’s now evident that Strasbourg won’t let him go for cheap, if at all, and Juventus will know this.
