$500 million will be spent renovating the Superdome in New Orleans, with local authorities certain that the arena’s makeover would be finished in time for Super Bowl LIX in February 2025.
The Superdome of the New Orleans Saints will undergo renovations worth up to $500 million in time for Super Bowl LIX. The stadium will also commemorate its 50th anniversary that year.
As New Orleans prepares to host the largest annual sports event in America next year, city authorities stated they intend to see the renovations for the arena through to completion.
With 11 Super Bowls hosted, the game will tie New Orleans and Miami for the record.
At a news conference on February 21, Saints and Pelicans President Dennis Lauscha stated, “This renovation was really focused on how we can create a much better fan experience,” as reported by Biz New Orleans.
“While revenue generation is important, as many new stadiums do, our primary focus was and still is the fan experience.”
