Manchester United left-back nearing Al Nassr move

Mane’s future was thrown in further doubt towards the end of last season after he was

suspended by Bayern for punching his team-mate Leroy Sane.

The Senegal international had been linked with a potential return to the Premier League but has

become the latest big-name player to head to the Middle East.

Mane has admitted in an interview with Sky Sports Germany that he has been left ‘hurt’

following his exit from Bayern.

‘Leaving FC Bayern hurts me,’ he said. ‘I would have wished for a different ending. I know that I

could have helped the team this season.

‘I wanted to prove it to everyone this season. Nevertheless, I only wish the club and the fans the

best for the future.’

Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel, meanwhile, said that Mane ‘fell short of expectations’

following his stint at the club.
