“Not getting any younger” – Crystal Palace star ideally wants transfer to top club ‘within next few years’

Under Roy Hodgson, the 27-year-old has established himself as a key player at Selhurst Park, and rumours of a transfer to one of the

bigger Premier League clubs have surfaced.

The Crystal Palace star, who is currently on international duty with his country, informed the local press that although that may have

been the case in the media, it was never truly close.

According to Bold.dk, the center-back said there had been “a little back and forth” with a few clubs, but “nothing concrete” had

resulted from it.

In fact, the player is ‘really happy’ to be at Crystal Palace, admitting they have a ‘great team’ at Selhurst Park where he has a ‘big role’.

The Dane was also asked when the next step in his career should be taken, and that’s when he revealed his true ambitions.

He said: “It’s a super difficult question, because it’s not something I’m in control of. It’s clear that I would like to play in the biggest

and best clubs in the world, but what happens is not always up to me. It’s clear that I’m now 27 years old, and if I’m going to make a

transfer, it should preferably be within the next few years.

“I’m not getting any younger either. If a club is going to pay some money for me, they should ideally be able to see some perspective in it.”

The defender first arrived at Crystal Palace in 2021 from Lyon in a €17.5m transfer, and has since made 76 appearances for the Eagles

in all competitions, scoring two goals and assisting another three.In fact, the player is ‘really happy’ to be at Crystal Palace, admitting

they have a ‘great team’ at Selhurst Park where he has a ‘big role’.
