Kevin Thomson secures UEFA Pro License as Ross County make manager call

Former Rangers midfielder Kevin Thomson has secured a UEFA professional license but will not become Ross County coach.
The former Ibrox star, 39, is currently looking for a new managerial role and will not have any negative impact on his future prospects after completing the course.

The news came as former Kelty Hearts manager Kevin Thomson was looking to secure the top job when he went to tell X that he had completed his coaching training.
“I’m happy to finally pass my professional license,” said Kevin Thomson.
“It takes a long time, but it’s worth it.
” “Thank you to everyone who has helped me so far.
” Thommo will not be chief of Ross County Kevin Thomson said last week , retweeted an online pitch for his services from X user John Walker.
This post praised Tommo’s leadership style and highlighted the coach’s availability.
He urged the club to take a risk on a young manager who will not be actively involved in management beyond 2022.
All of this happened around the same time Ross County sacked manager Malky McKay and Kevin Thomson became the legitimate option to replace him.

But despite Thomson’s absence, Ross County appear ready to look for a more familiar face in the Dingwall dugout.
BBC Sport has reported that Morecambe manager Derek Adams is set to be appointed for a remarkable third spell as Ross County coach, nine years after the Staggies last left the club.
Kevin Thomson awarded UEFA Pro License This means that while we have recommended Kevin Thomson for the Ross County job, it appears the search for a young coach is still continuing.
Kevin Thomson, a favorite among Rangers fans, started his coaching career at the youth academy at Ibrox and has progressed very well since then.

Having also expressed his desire to one day take the reins at Ibrox, Kevin Thomson will need quite a bit more managerial experience before that happens.

Whilst the Scottish Premiership does seem a little bit of a stretch for the young manager at the moment, perhaps a stint in the Scottish Championship can get other clubs noticing.

We certainly believe Kevin Thomson has what it takes to make the grade in top level management and Rangers fans will congratulate their ex-player on securing the UEFA Pro License.
