Leeds United squad revealed as Daniel Farke weighs up debuts after last-gasp transfer swap
Daniel Farke has a host of new players at his disposal for today’s clash against Sheffield Wednesday after a busy end
to the summer transfer window
After the madness of deadline day, Leeds United are quickly back in action today when they host Sheffield
Wednesday in their final fixture before the September international break.
Daniel Farke will be relieved to see what has been an eventful transfer window at Elland Road close. After an initial
burst of exits, Leeds were able to add eight new faces to the squad this summer before last night’s late dealings that saw Luis Sinisterra join Bournemouth and Jaidon Anthony come the other way, both players moving on season-long loans.
Farke was able to hand Joel Piroe a debut last weekend, with the Dutchman scoring in the win at Ipswich and will be
hoping to have three more players available this weekend after the signings of Djed Spence, Ilia Gruev and Glen
Kamara were made this week, although clearance had not been confirmed for the latter two when Farke spoke to the
media on Friday lunchtime. Anthony’s arrival at midnight missed the deadline, meaning he will not feature yet.
