Burnley ‘ready to pay’ €16m to sign attacker – Kompany ‘completely fallen in love’ with him
Burnley are making efforts to sign Ajax’s Mohamed Daramy, according to BT in Denmark.
The Eredivisie side took the winger from FC Copenhagen in 2021 and sent him back on loan to the Danish club last season, where he managed nine goals and seven assists from 41 games.
Back in April, Burnley manager Vincent Kompany watched Copenhagen’s 2-1 win over FC Nordsjælland. The 21-year-old impressed in this match, scoring the equaliser.
In fact, BT state the Clarets are ‘ready to pay’ €16m for Daramy. This would allow Ajax to make a profit from the sale of a player who won’t have a vital role next season.
The website adds Daramy has interest from other clubs while also suggests the Premier League ‘currently looks like’ his next potential destination. It needs to be seen if Burnley can get the deal over the line in the ‘coming days or weeks’.
