GREAT NEWS : BROMANCE: Kolisi and Elizabedi reunited in Mzansi…

Springboks legends Siya Kolisi and Eben Etzebeth have linked up in South Africa and look delighted about it. The World Champions have two tests against Ireland on the horizon.

Siya Kolisi and Eben Etzebeth are good friends as we all know. Legendary lock forward Etzebeth was in the Bok starting lineup which beat Wales 41-13 at the weekend. Meanwhile, Kolisi wasn’t involved in the matchday squad. There was a welcome return for Malcolm Marx after an ACL injury. Edwill van der Merwe and Jordan Hendrikse both sparkled in the resounding win.

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing for Kolisi since his Bok debut in June 2013. Incidentally, that was the day before his 22nd birthday. He has faced criticism over his form, as all players do, and he’s lost his place in the side at various junctures. One constant, however, has been Kolisi’s parallel obsession with self-improvement and putting the team first. The Racing 92 flanker has won 82 caps for South Africa but it almost feels as though that number should be larger. It’s difficult to imagine the Springboks before Siyamthanda Kolisi and it will be pretty strange adjusting to life without him when he eventually retires.
