Insider Gives ‘Brutal’ Marlon Humphrey Injury Update….

Insider Gives Marlon Humphrey Injury Update

Marlon Humphrey #44 of the Baltimore Ravens warms up before the preseason game against the Washington Football Team at FedExField on August 28, 2021 in Landover, Maryland.

The Baltimore Ravens not only suffered a stunning loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, but the fan base feared that one of the team’s top defenders, cornerback Marlon Humphrey, also suffered a serious injury.

Thankfully, after further examination by the Ravens, it sounds like Humphrey was able to avoid a significant injury in the loss to the Browns, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

However, the Baltimore cornerback might be unavailable to play in the team’s next game since that will be taking place in just a few days (via NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport on Twitter).

After appearing in all 17 games for the Ravens last season, Humphrey missed the team’s first four matchups of the 2023 campaign with a foot injury.

So, even though it’s not believed to be serious, the injury the cornerback sustained on Sunday is still a bit of a letdown.

Humphrey’s injury comes at a bad time as well since Baltimore’s next two games have them going up against two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals and Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Currently, the Ravens are in first place in the AFC North with a 7-3 record, but they only lead the division by half of a game following their loss to the Browns on Sunday.

So it’s safe to say that each of the remaining seven matchups on Baltimore’s schedule are extremely important, especially the games they have left against AFC North opponents.

With how competitive the AFC is this season, a spot in the playoffs still isn’t a guarantee for the Ravens.
