The Reds were held to a 2-2 draw with Brighton on Sunday afternoon, after a first-half Mohamed Salah brace rescued a point

for Jurgen Klopp‘s side at the Amex.

The result saw Liverpool rise up to third in the top-flight table and, had it not been for some VAR controversy at Tottenham, they

could be even higher.

However, despite their strong start to the Premier League season, former Reds defender Carragher has suggested the side are still

Following the controversy at Tottenham which saw Liverpool’s Luis Diaz have a goal wrongfully ruled out for offside, Jurgen

Klopp refused to be drawn into another VAR discussion  after Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross escaped a red card in the 2-2 draw on Sunday.

Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards said the Brighton midfielder should have been sent off for his foul on Dominik Szoboszlai.

Gross gave away a penalty in the for pulling back the Hungarian inside the box area when he was the last man. But he was not shown a

red card following a VAR review.

Afterwards Klopp said: ‘I don’t know. I don’t know, I think it the foul is inside the box for a penalty it’s a yellow card but if it’s outside

it could be red. I don’t know, don’t talk to me about rules. I take what I get’.
