West Ham could now sign ‘exceptional’ 22-year-old Premier League star as a Lucas Paqueta replacement
West Ham United could sign Nottingham Forest ace Brennan Johnson as a replacement for Lucas Paqueta this summer.
According to a report from The Guardian, Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson is a potential candidate to replace West
Ham ace Lucas Paqueta at the London Stadium in the summer transfer window.
And with Paqueta closing in on a move to Manchester City, Johnson would be a really strong replacement for the Brazilian Hammers midfielder.
He won’t come cheap though…
West Ham could now sign ‘exceptional’ Premier League star as a Lucas Paqueta replacement
The Guardian reckon that the Hammers are eyeing up a move to sign £45 million-rated Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest this summer.
I think he’d be a truly superb addition for us.
The Wales international can play as a number 10 or on either wing, and he’d offer us something completely different inside the final third.
Johnson is an incredibly exciting young talent. Considering his age, he has put in some really impresses performances for Forest on a
very consistent basis. He was recently described as an exceptional talent by former Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton (FLW).
The attacking midfielder was in superb form for Forest last season with eight goals and three assists to his name in 38 Premier League
games (Transfermarkt).
He has blistering pace, impressive technical ability and has the energy needed to run and work hard for the entire 90 minutes.
I think that he’d suit Moyes’s system perfectly. And for £45 million, Brennan Johnson would be a brilliant Lucas Paqueta replacement
as far as I’m concerned.

Details of second Nottingham Forest ‘bid’ for PSV ace emerge as clear transfer stance set
Latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as Reds continue to target PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.
Nottingham Forest are said to have had a second bid rejected for PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.
The Reds have a number of areas they still want to strengthen before the transfer window closes on September 1, with the centre of the
pitch among them. They have added three new recruits so far – in Ola Aina, Anthony Elanga and Matt Turner – but head coach Steve
Cooper has made clear further signings are required in order for the club to push on in the Premier League this season.
PSV reportedly “firmly rejected” the bid. As things stand, they are seemingly “not prepared to cooperate” with offers below Sangare’s
37.5m (£32m) euros release clause.
Forest face significant competition for the Ivory Coast international. PSG are said to have revived their interest in him, with Get
French Football News having reported negotiations had begun to try to lure him away.
