Forest were initially linked with a move for Ndidi last month following Leicester’s relegation from the Premier League. Now it is said

that City’s East Midlands rivals are pushing to make a deal happen.

On Sunday evening, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano posted on X, formerly Twitter: “Nottingham Forest set to bid for Wilfred

Ndidi, proposal expected to be submitted soon for Nigerian DM as he’s top target.

“Understand personal terms have been agreed and negotiations will now start between clubs. Forest will push to make it happen.”

Unlike some players tipped to leave the King Power Stadium this summer, Ndidi has featured in all five matches so far this season

under new head coach Enzo Maresca, starting all but one. The Foxes have won all five games and sit top of the Championship table with 12 points.

There have already been a couple of big-money sales by Leicester since the end of last term. James Maddison has joined Tottenham

and Harvey Barnes has signed for Newcastle United.

Timothy Castagne, meanwhile, looks set to be snapped up by Fulham, and Victor Kristiansen is closing in on a move to Italian side

Bologna. Now interest in Ndidi has reared its head again, with the summer transfer window shutting on Friday night (September 1).

“The clubs are negotiating” – Director confirms Nottingham Forest bid for defender

Corinthians have now confirmed that they’ve been holding talks with Nottingham Forest for the transfer of Murillo.

Murillo se diz “100% focado no Corinthians” e fala sobre chegada de Veríssimo: “Grande jogador” | OneFootball

Following their match against Goiás on Saturday evening, director Alessandro spoke to the press and was asked about the defender’s future.

The club chief (via Globo Esporte) admitted that there are ongoing negotiations with Nottingham Forest, but made it clear that there’s no agreement yet.

“The club received an official offer from Nottingham Forest yesterday, we responded at the end of the day, and the clubs are

negotiating. This is the stage of what happened from yesterday to today. No deal has been finalised, so much so that he was at the

game today. I’m not talking about values because you receive an offer, you make a counter-offer, these are stages to materialise or not.”

According to Globo Esporte, Nottingham Forest’s offer is €18m plus €3m in bonuses. The outlet writes the transfer is ‘underway’.

Alessandro was also quizzed if Murillo will be travelling to Argentina to face Estudiantes, and he couldn’t confirm that.

“Let’s see. Football is very much now, today. The trip to Argentina is on Monday, the negotiations started yesterday. We received

the official offer and responded yesterday. There’s been no progress today.”

Globo Esporte state that Corinthians ‘confirm’ that Torino have also been interested in Murillo, and add that Fiorentina and Napoli

also made approaches for him. As previously reported by the Brazilian media, the player had a preference for the Premier League, and

that’s why the talks with Nottingham Forest had a bigger development than with other clubs.

Local reports continue to show optimism about this deal, and it seems Corinthians are just working to get the most out of the sale.
