NBA REPORT : Arizona wildcats basketball key player is accuse of murder

LAS VEGAS: Authorities claimed that a lady whose remains were discovered earlier this month close to Las Vegas was killed. The victim was a player for the Sacramento Kings’ G League club, and he and his girlfriend have been detained.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said on Sunday that Chance Comanche, 27, and Sakari Harnden, 19, would face charges of murder and kidnapping in connection with the death of Marayna Rodgers, 23.

After being reported missing on December 7, authorities said that Rodgers’ remains were subsequently discovered in the Henderson area of Las Vegas.

Authorities said they suspected foul play and gathered evidence to arrest Harnden and Comanche, but they have not disclosed the cause of death or speculated about a potential motivation.

According to the police, Harnden was a friend of Rodgers, a Washington state medical assistant.

Police claim that on December 5, when Rodgers was out with friends in Las Vegas, she met Harnden—who was bringing Comanche—in advance.

After being detained in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Harnden was being held under a $500,000 bond.

Comanche was detained without bond after the FBI arrested him in Sacramento, California, on Friday. He is expected to appear in court in Sacramento on Tuesday, according to police, and is currently awaiting extradition to Nevada.

A message requesting additional information was not immediately answered by the prosecutor’s office in Clark County, Nevada. Additionally, when phone calls were left on Monday inquiring as to whether the public defenders’ offices in Sacramento and Las Vegas were representing Comanche or Harnden, neither agency quickly responded.

Comanche averaged 14 points and seven rebounds per game while playing for the Sacramento Kings’ NBA G League club, the Stockton Kings in California.

Power forward and center Comanche attended the University of Arizona throughout his undergraduate career from 2015 to 2017 before deciding to enter the NBA draft.

In April of last year, he signed a free-agent contract with the Portland Trail Blazers after being undrafted, but he only appeared in one game.

Comanche joined Stockton after being dropped by Sacramento ten days after he was signed in October.
