Ohio State vs. Penn State: Five things we think we learned in victory

Recruit reactions to the Buckeyes victory over Penn State continue to pour in; the latest on two top in-state Buckeye targets and more.

On Saturday afternoon I posted a “Recruits in Ohio Stadium React” article after the Buckeyes came away with a 20-12 win over Penn

State in front of 105,000 plus fans in attendance.

A very large and impressive group of recruits from across the country were at the game and I posted the reactions from many of those

top recruits. I added reactions to that article on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

1) Since then even more reactions have come in from top recruits at the game. Let’s start there with those

additional reactions and then move to other items on Ohio State recruiting.

LB Justin Hill (2025): “The crowd was electric and the defense showed up big time.”

DB Mark Zackery (2025): “It was a great win and a great game defensively. I felt the energy from all the fans and I could tell the

players were feeding from that energy.”

Buckeye LB offer Eli Lee has 'awesome' time at Ohio State, was 'very impressed'

Buckeye linebacker offer Eli Lee has “awesome” time at Ohio State and was “very impressed” with what he saw.

The Buckeyes offered a scholarship to Akron (Ohio) Hoban 2025 linebacker Eli Lee on Oct. 4. On Saturday, he was in Ohio Stadium

for the first time, holding that offer as he watched the Buckeyes defeat Penn State 20-12.

“I was very impressed with the team and meeting with the coaches (on Saturday,” Lee told Bucknuts. “It was really awesome to be

there for a game and see everything the coaches do. The atmosphere was awesome and it was a great game.”

Lee is being recruited by both Jim Knowles and James Laurinaitis.
