OFFICIAL NEWS: 5 Detroit Lions key player set leave…

ALLEN PARK — Neither Aaron Glenn nor Ben Johnson was chosen to take over as head coach of the Washington Commanders. They won’t, however, abandon the Detroit Lions.

On Wednesday afternoon, Lance Newmark was named the new assistant general manager of Washington. Since 1998, Newmark has worked in Detroit’s player personnel division. He has served as the team’s senior director of player personnel for the past two seasons. Prior to that, he spent five seasons as the director of player personnel, working his way up through the ranks over his more than 25 years with the Lions.
