OFFICIAL NEWS : Alex Cora from Boston red Sox decided to..

According to a baseball source on Tuesday, it appears that Red Sox left-hander Chris Murphy has a high grade tear in his elbow ligament following preliminary MRI.

After experiencing soreness following his most recent start, Murphy had an MRI on his pitching elbow on Monday. Manager Alex Cora in Fort Myers stated that the ligament had “damage,” but he would not elaborate.

As the doctors work to confirm the diagnosis, Murphy will be put through additional testing in the coming days. It’s thought that surgery may be an option.
