In addition to his 2,342 snaps at left tackle and 2,150 snaps at right tackle over his career, George Fant played 962 snaps at right tackle last season. He is far more qualified than Larry Borom to be the swing tackle option.
The Arizona Cardinals selected Josh Jones in the third round in 2020. Despite his lack of success with the Texans and Cardinals, he will only be 27 this offseason. In addition to the 63 left guard snaps from the previous season, Jones has 767 left tackle, 612 right guard, 257 right tackle, and 63 left guard snaps.
Overall, his versatility, youth, athletic potential, and draft pedigree make him worthy of a flier this offseason.
He has 1,312 center snaps, 980 left guard snaps, and 50 left tackle snaps. At just 27 years old, he has recently finished one of his best years to date in his career. Could he close the enormous center-field gap for the Chicago Bears?
Lastly is Charlie Heck. Heck started four games at right tackle last year and has 1,316 snaps at right tackle for his career. He would mostly be a reserve, and he only has right-side experience, so this is not as desired as the others.
