EAGAN, Minnesota Two days before his 24th birthday, on Wednesday, the Vikings added receiver Daylen Baldwin to their practice squad.

Baldwin spent the majority of his first season on Cleveland’s practice squad after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in August of 2022.

Baldwin played in just one game in 2022, hauling in two catches for 25 yards on December 17 during the Browns’ 13-3 victory against the Baltimore Ravens.

The native of Southfield, Michigan, attended Morgan State for his first two collegiate seasons (2017–18). After that, he went to Jackson State where he spent the 2019–20 season before finishing his undergraduate career at Michigan in 2021. In 10 seasons (1991–1999 and 2001), Reed—who was originally selected in the third round out of Grambling—caught 413 catches for 6,433 yards and 33 touchdowns for the Vikings. These results, which place seventh, sixth, and eighth in club history, respectively, contributed to the success of the “Three Deep” period featuring Reed, Cris Carter, and Randy Moss, which came into being in 1998.
