Newcastle transfer rumours with Magpies ‘confident’ stance on Joachim Andersen’s asking price
All of the latest Newcastle United transfer headlines including reports on Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen and Manchester
United midfielder Scott McTominay.
Andersen asking price
Joachim Andersen has been repeatedly linked as a potential target for the Magpies in this window. Eddie Howe is said to be keen on
bringing in a right-sided central defender who excels in possession and could rival Fabian Schar for a starting spot.
Andersen has impressed in the Premier League, initially for Fulham and for the last two seasons with Crystal Palace. Now, Newcastle
are said to be ‘confident’ the Eagles will lower their reported price tag of £40 million for the Denmark international.
That is according to Football Transfers, who add the Magpies will move on to other targets if Crystal Palace stay firm on their
valuation of Andersen. The 27-year-old’s future could depend upon Palace’s own move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Odilon
Kossounou, although Manchester United’s interest in team-mate Edmond Tapsoba could complicate matters further.

Tottenham could now reportedly move to sign £20m player who Gareth Southgate says is a brilliant dribbler
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing a move to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze this summer, a player who has a huge
admirer in England boss Gareth Southgate.
Spurs have enjoyed an encouraging transfer window so far as they have moved to bring in five new additions to Ange Postecoglou’s
squad.
Micky van de Ven and Alejo Veliz officially made the switch to North London on Monday as they followed Guglielmo Vicario, James
Maddison and Manor Solomon through the door.
Of course, Tottenham still have plenty to do before the end of the window as they bid to trim a bloated squad.
And depending on outgoings, they could well look to bring in another midfielder or forward player.
Football.London claimed on Wednesday that Tottenham are continuing to monitor Eberechi Eze’s situation at Crystal Palace.
