Sad news: Vikings experience player have been hit hard with a brutal injury…

The Minnesota Vikings have been hit hard by injuries this season and may have some good news. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, defensive coordinator Brian Flores expressed optimism that ILB Jordan Hicks will return this season.

During a game against the New Orleans Saints, Hicks suffered a shin injury that resulted in compartment syndrome. Since then, Hicks has been actively involved in its creation and attends meetings.

It should be added that the Vikings are 0-2 without Hicks in the lineup.

Minnesota Vikings linebacker Jordan Hicks is currently on the injured reserve list after undergoing shin surgery last month, but the Vikings gave him some encouraging news this week.

According to Kevin Seiftert of ESPN, defensive coordinator Brian Flores said there is some optimism about Hicks returning this season.

Flores added that Hicks attended meetings and stayed close to the team facility. Hicks played in 10 games this season and recorded 87 tackles, one sack, one interception, one forced fumble, multiple fumble recoveries, four passes defensed and one defensive touchdown.

He spent the first four seasons of his career with the Eagles and was plagued by injuries during that time, only playing one full season. In total, Hicks played 43 games for Philadelphia.

His most productive year was 2016, when he recorded 85 tackles, one sack, five interceptions, one fumble recovery and 11 passes defended.

Hicks then moved to the Arizona Cardinals for three years and performed significantly better with over 100 tackles per year.

His best season was 2019 when he had 150 stops, 1.5 sacks, three picks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and six passes defended.

Jordan Hicks (born June 27, 1992) is an American football linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL).

He has also played for the Philadelphia Eagles, with whom he won a Super Bowl ring in 2018, and the Arizona Cardinals. He played college football for the Texas Longhorns.

In his first season in Minnesota last year, he appeared in all 17 games and finished with 129 tackles, three sacks, one interception, one forced fumble and 10 passes defended.
