Andi Zeqiri permanently switched to KRC Genk earlier this month after leaving Brighton & Hove Albion.

The striker was acquired by the Seagulls in 2020 from Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland, and he made 12 appearances in his first year at The Amex. He was loaned out to FC Augsburg and FC Basel by Brighton over the previous two seasons.

The 24-year-old revealed that his decision to leave Brighton permanently was motivated by a lack of stability in an interview with Het Belang van Limburg.

The international player from Switzerland also thinks his exclusion from the World Cup team was caused by Brighton’s choice to loan him out over the previous two years.
