Exeter’s loss versus Leyton Orient
MuskWe lose 2-1 and come up short.
Admiral Muskwe, a striker for Luton, was forced to sit out his home debut for Exeter City at the weekend due to a hamstring injury he sustained after joining the League One team.
On the day of the transfer deadline, the 25-year-old moved to St James Park on a season-long loan after manager Rob Edwards told the Luton News that he would quit the team this year.
With the Devon club sitting top of the table in the third tier, Muskwe, who came off the bench in last weekend’s 1-0 win against Burton Albion, had hoped to receive a start and replace leading scorer Sam Nombe, who was bought by Championship team Rotherham United for a club record price.
He was not, however, a part of City’s 2-1 loss to struggling Leyton Orient, which caused City to fall to third place.
Manager Gary Caldwell explained Ads’ absence to Devon Live by saying: “Ads has a hamstring injury.
“We anticipate it will only last seven to 10 days, which is what we expect, but we need to progressively acclimate him.
It is a warning shot, it might have been worse, and we hope we caught it in time to be healthy at least until next week.
