AFLW: Injury Report Round Seven
The latest on Adelaide’s injured players
Yvonne Bonner, a forward for Adelaide, will not play for the Crows against the Western Bulldogs on Friday.
After suffering a knee injury during Adelaide’s 10-point victory over Melbourne on Saturday, Bonner will be out for
two to three weeks due to a Grade Two medial ligament tear, according to scan results.
Although Bonner was able to finish the game despite having limited movement, Adelaide Head of Women’s Football
Phil Harper reported that scans showed a serious strain.
Harper stated, “Yvonne has been a huge addition to our team this year; her training standards are elite.”
“She has really added to our team with her running ability, goal sense and versatility.
“She will be sorely missed over the next couple of weeks but will be a welcome addition when she returns.”
Adelaide vice-captain Sarah Allan has increased her training load as she gets closer to a return from a hamstring injury.
“Sarah is progressing really well and has increased her training loads in the last week or so,” Harper said.
“We still expect it to be about another 3 weeks before she returns to play.”
Injury List as of Tuesday, 10 October
Yvonne Bonner (knee) – 2-3 weeks
Sarah Allan (hamstring) – 3 weeks
