According to a report, the club must “watch out” for Tottenham while pursuing the 22-year-old.
According to MilanWeb, Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord is up for grabs, and one of the front-runners in the race is Tottenham Hotspur.
Gimenez had a successful 2022–2023 season; his goals were a major factor in Feyenoord’s historic Eredivisie victory.
With nine goals in his first seven league games, the 22-year-old has continued where he left off in the new season.
In a previous 90 Minutes article, it was stated that scouts from Chelsea, Spurs, and Arsenal had all been to the Netherlands to watch the Mexican play this season. They also stated that they had been impressed by his performances.
Spurs are anticipated to be Milan’s biggest competitors.
MilanWeb, which has been covering Milan’s pursuit of Gimenez, has now advised the Serie A club to “watch out” for competition from the Premier League, notably Tottenham.
The rumor asserts that the Lilywhites made their interest in the Feyenoord player known during the summer transfer window and have since kept a close eye on him.
The source asserts that while Spurs’ financial situation gives them an advantage over Milan, the center-forward is not the North London club’s first priority. The Dutch club is reportedly aiming for a bidding battle for Gimenez’s services.
Tottenham won’t give a center-forward their first priority in the January transfer window, in my opinion. Richarlison and Son appear to be Postecoglou’s preferred alternatives, with Johnson having the ability to play as a false nine if required.
In the upcoming transfer window, I anticipate Spurs to bring in a center-back and a central midfielder, and then reevaluate their striker needs the following summer.
