Lange really likes ‘unbelievable’ £45m PL star and Tottenham may make move if player leaves in January
Johan Lange holds a great admiration for Kalvin Phillips of Manchester City, and should Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg go, Tottenham Hotspur may attempt to sign the midfield player in January.
This is in line with a claim from The Telegraph, which says that after having trouble getting into games, Phillips might now be willing to leave the Etihad Stadium in the winter.
At Manchester City, Kalvin Phillips’ career has never really taken off. Prior to his arrival, he made a name for himself as Leeds’ most valuable player under Marcelo Bielsa.
This season, he has only made a few appearances. Additionally, it seems that he is prepared to think about his future in order to maintain his place in Gareth Southgate’s team as England prepares for Euro 2024.
Despite his ties to Tottenham, Johan Lange is a huge supporter of Kalvin Phillips.
Newcastle and Juventus are reportedly considering moves for the midfield player, according to The Telegraph. However, it’s also said that Johan Lange, Tottenham’s new technical director, is a big fan of Phillips.
And should Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg go, the Spurs may try to make a move. Similar to Phillips, Hojbjerg has not had a busy start to the season as he has slipped in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hierarchy.
